SSRR Future Goals

To offer veterans a path to healing by connecting them with rescued horses and donkeys. Horses and donkeys are incredible companions, offering a unique opportunity for veterans to experience trust, love, connection, and emotional healing. These animals, with their gentle and intuitive nature, serve as powerful partners in the journey toward overcoming trauma, anxiety, and the invisible wounds.

To create a welcoming environment where children and families can connect with and support rescued horses and donkeys. By providing opportunities for families to engage with these incredible animals, we aim to foster compassion, strengthen bonds, and create lasting memories while supporting the healing and care of our rescued animals. 

To expand our rescue by acquiring more land, enabling us to rescue more horses and donkeys in need. This will allow us to provide a safe haven for even more rescued animals in need of healing physically, mentally, and emotionally. . We will also be able to continue to support our mission to rescue, rehabilitate, retrain, and rehome horses and donkeys in need. 

To be able to take Roy, our sanctuary mini horse, on more field trips. This would allow us to provide comfort, joy, and healing to individuals. Roy can share his positive presence and brighten the lives of those in need. 

To acquire a van to transport Roy would make it easier and allow for more field trips. This would help us bring more joy and comfort to those in need. With a dedicated vehicle that we can transport Roy in, we can expand Roy's outreach beyond the rescue. We can share his healing presence and spread happiness.
